Ruth is the founder of Ligomarc Advocates and she is the Managing Partner of the firm. She is an Advocate of all Courts of Judicature in Uganda with nearly a decade of varied experience in the areas of commercial, corporate, civil, and tax litigation and practice. Currently, most of her work comprises commercial litigation, Bank securities’ documentation, securities registration and reviews, land/real estate transactions.

Ruth was formerly employed as Senior Tax advisor with Deloitte & Touche, Kampala, and as Senior Legal Associate with M/s Kalenge, Bwanika, Kimuli & Co. Advocates, a leading commercial and civil litigation law firm in Uganda. Ruth is a holder of a Masters of Laws Degree (LLM) in International Business Law from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from Makerere University.

Ruth is member of, Uganda Law Society, East Africa Law Society, International Fiscal Association, Rotterdam, and International Bar Association, London.
